You may be shocked at how much you are consuming. That can be so deeply ingrained to your subconscious that you may not even be aware that you are participating. Have you ever been watching TV while you eat. But these may also be the very habits that are keeping you from reaching your weight loss goals.

It is a great idea to keep a food journal for a week or so and write down everything that you are eating. From the tiniest bite in the morning to the midnight snack attack, write it all down and then review your journal at the end of the week. Studies say it takes about 21 days to create a new habit or to break an old one. The first step to breaking these habits is to realize that they are even occurring. And then record when and where you are eating.

When we are multi tasking, we may not even be consciously aware that we are eating at all, let alone what it even tastes like.
