While we are all free to make changes at any time that we want, the first of January is, however, not only a significant time to strike out in a different direction, but a memorable one. Some take it as their sign to tackle all those outstanding projects around the home or make new friends and get out and about more, but frequently, women in particular use the New Year as a amby to give themselves a total image makeover.. Perhaps certain things just are not working in our lives or maybe we have just become bored. For some, the stroke of midnight which signals the end of one year and the start of the next is the time to finally take that weight loss diet seriously or give up the dreaded cigarettes once and for all. The New Year, of course, is a time when many of us want to turn over a new leaf and start afresh.
